Congratulations to Will & Ash – winners of our Confetti Photo Competition 2024!

We love seeing your photos!

One of the highlights of our year is judging our annual Best Confetti Moment Photo Competition. The rules are simple. Most importantly, it is open to all our customers – anyone who experienced our lovely flower petals on their wedding day! You can just send us the photos of your confetti throw and you’ll be in with the chance of winning a case of champagne… One lucky couple will be chosen as the winners by all of us here at The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company.

What we are looking for…

Our criteria for a magical photograph are also quite simple: We are looking for a picture full of joy, happiness and confetti! Some pictures just have a special quality that shines through the screen. We are looking for confetti moments to inspire our future customers. We are looking for confetti moments that capture the wonder of being showered with confetti petals. The fun, family, friends. The love and laughter. The unique experience of taking those first few steps as a married couple.

How to get an amazing picture

Will & Ash’s confetti moment photo really does capture the joy of this special experience. They married at Chateau Plombis, France, in May 2024. (Certainly the sunshine helps the picture!) They staged their confetti throw with their wedding guests in two long lines. This is a great approach. Firstly, it makes the “moment” more of an “experience”. In other words, it lasts longer. Therefore, you are giving the photographer more opportunities to get that fab photo. But also it means you have more to enjoy. In addition, walking through an avenue of petals you will get to see all of your favourite faces. Everyone gets a chance to throw the confetti high in the air and watch it fall over the happy couple.

Alternatively, an arrangement of guests in a group can be more dramatic, but it is all over in a quick toss. A walkway of confetti is a much more personal experience.

The details

Will and Ash chose a colourful mix of Delphinium and Wildflower Petals. They look amazing in the photo! The are bright and cheerful and hang very prettily in the air. The colours go well with Ash’s bouquet and the spring season.

It is a joy and a privilege to see your confetti moment pictures. Thank you for sharing them with us. And if you are reading this to get some ideas for your wedding day – please remember to send in your shots! Helping to inspire someone else is a wonderful way to pass along some of that newlywed magic.

One last expert tip – talk to your photographer about what you’d like to achieve. Above all, the confetti moment is a very special “instant” that will happen on your wedding day that you will never have again. Your photographer’s job is to help capture some of those points in time and those lovely feelings. If you let them know what you are dreaming of, they will be better able to help you achieve it.

With lots of love from The Petal People x
