Flower Field Accessibility

The Confetti Flower Field from the sky

The Confetti Flower Field open days are a temporary event on our farm. We are open for just 10 days when the flowers are in full bloom.

We are a working farm, and the confetti flowers are rotated with all our arable crops. This means that the flowers are replanted in a different place each year. Consequently, there are no permanent structures, fixtures, buildings or pathways on site. The ground surfaces are simply farm fields. That is to say, it is very bumpy and uneven underfoot. This ground surface can be very challenging.

However, we have lots of grassed space around the edges of the flowers. Additionally, please note that you can see the flowers as soon as you enter the field. We designate a special seating area by the entrance, for those who wish to sit and take in the view, without walking too far.

Many more intrepid visitors in wheelchairs and mobility scooters do negotiate the grassy areas. In short, we would suggest that it comes down to the attitude and frailty of the individual.

We advise that you please download our Access Statement for a detailed description of the Confetti Flower Field event.

Additional Information

Portable toilets are provided for public use. There are two disabled toilets with level access and handles throughout. Hand sanitiser is provided within each unit.

We supply a ‘baby changing’ tent with two trestle tables. This is a windowless tent which may be used as a private space for personal needs, if required.

No wheelchairs are available for loan. There are no concessions for carers.

The only animals permitted on site are registered service animals, and these are very welcome. Please be prepared to show proof of their service status to staff if required.

The event can get very busy at peak times – these are weekends between 10am and 3pm. The café, flower stall and shop can get noisy, and queues will form. There is lots of space in the field and it is always possible to find a peaceful spot, away from crowds. However, if you wish to avoid the busiest times, we would advise visiting on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.

Please note that there is no running water or electricity on site. Mobile signal and data can also be variable and patchy. There is no Wi-Fi.
