It is a 25 acre field and we have 5 different varieties of sunflowers (this lovely red type above is called Marley). Some are really tall and some are tiny – perfect for the little ones to explore!
We also have some pretty wildflower plantings and sections of phacelia (which the bees absolutely love!) and a stroll through a field of buckwheat with its lovely little white flowers. There are also acres of clover! See if you can find a lucky four-leaf sprig!
We do not have a café in the Sunflowers this summer. So you are very welcome to bring a picnic. Please bring a blanket and some snacks and enjoy the flower filled view. More details can be found in our FAQs on the information page.
Another bit of important information is that there is a 250m walk from the carpark to the sunflower field. Therefore, the event might not be suitable for those who cannot walk very far. It’s a flat grassed route, but it is just a farm field, so it is bumpy and uneven underfoot. Again, it’s not ideal for all wheelchair users or lightweight buggies, but it is more than manageable for many. There is further guidance on our information pages.
If you have any queries you can’t find the answer to on our site please email us firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
We are very excited to see you in the sunflowers!
With lots of love,
