When looking at the confetti photos there are two main things you should consider:
The petals and colours in the confetti throws
Firstly, you should look at which petal (or petals) the couple has chosen. Be sure to notice the colours, and, for instance, how they look against the background. You might find that you prefer the pictures with a delicate sprinkling of petals. On the other hand, perhaps the splash of colour from larger petals is more what you are imagining? Different petals will float differently. Consequently, they look different in the confetti throw. Most importantly, we’d recommend that you go for the sort that you like the best!
Arrangement and organisation of the confetti throws
Looking at real wedding pictures is a great way to get ideas for arranging your confetti moment. Certainly, you must be guided by your location and numbers of wedding guests, but you might just discover an idea you hadn’t considered…
For example: Walking down a pathway lined with your guests throwing confetti looks more natural and spontaneous than a staged group shot. Moreover, you might find it is much simpler than organising a huge group of people to throw at the same time! Similarly, a picture might remind you that you have lovely manicured gardens at your wedding venue. As a result, you can consider staging a confetti throw somewhere in the garden. (Rather than having a “just stepped out of the ceremony” photo.) Above all, get inspired and do what you think looks fabulous. There are no rights and wrongs and a little tweaking of the confetti throw “tradition” is no bad thing!
